Cyanotype is a photographic printing process that produces a cyan-blue print. The process was used well into the 20th century by engineers, scientists and artists. Engineer's prints became known as 'blue-prints'. The process uses two chemicals: ferric ammonium citrate and potassium ferricyanide.
